Your editor of all things print!
Posted on 14. Oct, 2009 by Chris Schanz in News
Hey all, Chris Schanz here.
First and foremost, welcome to Your Brain on Tech, and I hope you enjoyed Episode #1! Let YBOT be your main source for everything you love about technology, the Internet and media.
Soon, this venture will expand into areas other than technology, but for the time being, technology will indeed be our bread and butter.
So, that leads us to me. Who am I, why am I here and what is my purpose?
Who am I? As I said before, my name is Chris Schanz. I’m a senior at Central Michigan University and I am studying journalism with a minor in sports studies. I am originally from Saginaw, Mich., and currently call Mt. Pleasant, Mich. my home.
Why am I here? If you checked out the credits of Episode #1, you will not find my name there, and for good reason. As of right now, I have absolutely nothing to do with the YBOT episodes. Essentially, you might think, I’m here for moral support.
In a way, I am. But I do, however, have an actual position here at Your Brain on Tech. I was asked by producers Eric Hurst and Brian Gotts to contribute to their blog/show (YBOT) and also to edit the blog itself. Therefore, my title is “Blogger and Chief Editor of Print.”
What is my purpose? Anything you will find here at YBOT that has nothing to do with the video episodes or webisodes will be run through me before posting to the site. This includes reviews, commentary or supplemental information to the video episodes that appear on this site. It will all be edited by me; your editor of all things print!
Therefore, that puts me in charge of anything written found on this website, and I am thrilled that Brian and Eric asked me to be a part of their team.
Expect big things, and I hope you all enjoy what we will have to offer — from hosts Mike McArthur and Lauren Moss, the two aforementioned producers Brian and Eric, production director Brad Osantoski and everyone else associated with Your Brain on Tech — until next time!
